In this video, we will be restoring dates on a bunch of dateless Buffalo nickels (all with mint marks) in an attempt to find some better dates and maybe a key date nickel!
NOTE: Please understand that using an acid like Nic-A-Date to restore a date on a nickel will eliminate MOST of the numismatic value. Also, just because the date shows up after application, it is likely that in a year or two it will vanish again. Because of this, we are only doing this to see if we have any semi-key or key date coins that have some numismatic value even after nic-a-dating them.
At best, you will maintain about 10-20% of the Grey Sheet value.
